Connect a Shopify catalog to Meta Commerce Manager
Catalog ads on Facebook and Instagram need a product feed that updates when your Shopify store changes. Manual CSV uploads work for a week — then inventory drifts and your retargeting ads show sold-out products.
What you need before you start
- A Meta Business Manager account with Commerce Manager access
- A Shopify store with published products
- Feedfly installed (or another live feed source)
Step 1: Get your Meta feed URL from Feedfly
In the Feedfly app, open Feeds and copy the Meta catalog URL. Enable the Meta feed toggle if it isn't already on. Customize high-traffic SKUs first — titles and images matter more for scroll-stopping catalog ads than for long-tail variants.
Step 2: Add the feed in Commerce Manager
- Open Commerce Manager → select your catalog.
- Go to Catalog → Data sources → Add items.
- Choose Data feed and paste your Feedfly URL.
- Set currency to match your Shopify store.
- Pick an update schedule (hourly or daily depending on inventory velocity).
Step 3: Review diagnostics
Meta will flag missing fields or policy issues. Fix products in Feedfly's Meta tab — you don't need to change your storefront listing unless you want to.
